The LAVUK collection featured casual, eco-friendly, modern pieces with splashes of bold colors. I got to chat with the lovely LAVUK Designer Natasha Gindin for a bit after the show. Though born and raised from Siberia, Natasha wasn't eco-conscious until she moved to Los Angeles. Living in sunny Los Angeles inspired her to create a fashion line that not only looks and feels great but is kind to the environment too. Based on her runway show Friday, I think she's definitely living up to her goals.

Concept Fashion Week, which was held at Ace Gallery, also had various art-meets-fashion exhibits. Husband and wife duo of Martin Martin displayed their fall collection around the idea of deconstruction.

Alyson Leif, the designer behind the lingerie line Liason, also showcased her silk and chiffon collection in a red-lited installation. Her line features tap shorts, art deco inspired bras, robes, and nightgowns.
