It's time to update your make-up bag - the new season is coming. Even though outside we can’t feel any smell of spring, I decided to brighten up your days with something special. Voilà! I introduce you to a few of the most inspiring beauty trends of the spring/summer 2012. Which trend will you try?
1. Modern Cat Eyes -The familiar flick of liner returned to the outer corners of eyes but this time fashioned with inventive, even playful, variation
2. Red Lipstick. Christian Dior’s orange-red pucker (shown here) is a spring standby. But, as designers Donna Karan and Anthony Vaccarello demonstrated, brownish and purplish reds are fair game too.
3.Bangs. The new season is marked by the comeback of bangs/fringe hairstyles that can give your current locks the much needed update to make you stand out from the crowd.
4. Mettalic eyes. There's nothing quite like a metallic eye to put a pep in a girl's step, and the catwalks were awash with them this season.
5.Dramatic Navy Eyes.Creamy midnight-blue enhanced traditional black liner at Rodarte (shown here), Emanuel Ungaro, and Just Cavalli.
6. Retro Glamour. Classic glamour was the look of choice at Jean Paul Gaultier and Christian Dior, with pristine skin, glossy red lips and perfectly-lined eyes all topped off with the curliest of eyelashes.
7. Coloured lips. Pack up your lipgloss and dedicate your spring to finding the perfect lip colour. There’s something for everyone in this mixed bag, from pretty poppy reds to blindingly brilliant blues.
8. Voluminous Locks. Hair was a shiny curtain of va-va-voom proportions at Issa, DKNY, and Versace.
9. Bold Brows. Step away from the tweezers. Bold brows are big news for spring. Dominating the catwalks (quite literally in some cases), leave the shape natural and use a brow pencil to add extra colour and definition.
10. Sun-Kissed Skin. While all-over bronzer is never a good idea, Michael Kors , Vera Wang, and Max Mara reminded us that well-placed color is golden.
