Meet the Blogger: Marguerite of Such Good Style
Career: I work on the Marketing team at Lilly Pulitzer and I help with the E-Commerce and catalog photo shoots.
Location: Philadelphia
How do you describe your personal style? I'd classify myself as a mixture of Classic Style and High Fashion. Classic style is chic, simple and elegant while High Fashion clothing requires self-knowledge, nerve, and creative spirit. I love pairing them together in a personal and original way.
Favorite places to shop? I love shopping at small boutiques with a bunch of different designer brands. I also love a good find at TJ Maxx Off the Runway.
Favorite current fashion trend? My favorite Fall trend right now is the baroque trend! Brocade opulent patterns and textures are perfect for dressing up, but looks chic and unexpected on more casual pieces.
What's topping your wish list this year? I'm DYING for a Celine bag!
Tip for looking stylish in the winter? Layering! Get creative by layering everything from tops to bracelets! One tip for layering in the winter is to pile on thinner layers, so you don't feel bulky. Also, try mixing abstract prints into your layers to add to the neutrals in your winter wardrobe!
Favorite piece in your closet? My grandmother's vintage alligator bag.
Favorite designer? An absolute classic...Chanel.
tartan ruffles & classic quilted Chanel bag
bold pink print paired w/ aqua belt
beautifully embroidered sleeves
mixing prints; stripes w/ florals & arm full of bracelets
a pop of color in coral heels
classic black
lobster intarsia & eyelet shorts; preppy with a twist
