Acid Wash & Lace

Today's outfit paired a thrifted acid wash vest with a cream lace dress & gold statement necklace. I scored this 90's denim vest at a thrift store years back & it's still one of my favorite pieces in the closet to pair over sundresses. The necklace from Swell Caroline, is a self-explanatory show stopper!

Hope you guys are enjoying the rest of summer! I've been glued to the tv watching the olympics & wrapping up  LPF Mag & have a friend's bachelorette party this weekend!

Fall Styling Tips with J. Crew

As usual I'm loving J.Crew's mix of traditional and trendy for their fall collection. I wanted to share some of their fall styling tips from their website. As much as I love summer, it's getting me a teensy bit excited for fall layering!

Casablanca

One in my list of  ''must visit place'' was always Santorini with her legendary white houses. As I couldn't yet visit it I found my small Santorini here in Spain. The high contrast of the blue of sea and the blue skies against the white wall is just fabulous. So I cannot find the outfit better than this dress. I have been searching for a dress like this for years, and finally I found just that one I wanted. I love its simple shape and this absolutely amazing print.

Hope you all had a great weekend!

B

LPF Entertains: Summer Olympics Party

I'm admittedly geeking out over the Summer Olympics! There's just something so fun about watching your favorite events and rooting on your country's team! It's definitely a sense of American pride for me. I'm really looking forward to watching the gymnastics events + Lochte & Phelps duke it out in the swimming events.

I've gathered some ideas for hosting a little summer olympics watching party of your own! From DIY olive leaf crowns to Olympics bingo game to a meal inspired by Great Britain's favorite dish!

I also love the idea of a paper chain with different colored construction paper rings for decor! AND I'm dying to try out this Olympics Drinking Game with friends.

So, what events are you looking forward to most? & What team will you be rooting for?

xoxo, lauren

Latest Lust: Word Art:

One of the things I've seen popping up all over interior decor sites are words & letters as art on the wall. The "Blog" letters via Fabulous K are on my "to-DIY" for my desk area, and of course I love the "LA" since my middle name is Anne-- yes, Lauren Anne! I love the look of a boldly colored "EAT" spelled out, or "holla" for those with a sense of humor.

I just love how personalized and witty your wall art can be. I saw an awesome DIY using those cardboard letters at Michaels with a metallic silver acrylic paint for a faux silver finish.

I'm thinking I probably need some "LPF" letters in my room next!

What would letters/words would you have as decor?
