LA Fashion Market Fall 2012: Shop, Dine, and Wine

We know LA Fashion Market can get a little crazy, but if you have the chance to take a break from the madness we recommend trying out one of the Fashion District’s newest spots. They’re pretty awesome, and we’re not just saying that ‘cause they’re in our hood.

For a more upscale vibe head on over to Artisan House for California-and Mediterranean-inspired dishes. Located in the Pacific Electric Building, the restaurant-market hybrid produces its own pastas, sauces, bases and stocks from scratch. Plus, they have a really cool bar made from the building’s original doors.

Mirrored columns, tiled floors, marble counters, and old sewing machines, with designer-inspired cocktails: it is the bar of the Fashion District. We recommend you try The McQueen and some tapas! Patten Bar is located across from the California Market Center has happy hour f 5-7p.m.

Next door to Pattern Bar, the brand new beauty salon offers a 10% discount to all first-timers and an excellent express mani and pedi. It’s open until 6 p.m. Monday and Tuesday and until 8 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday.

The CMC Home and Gift Market doesn’t start until the March 18, but it’s a great place to visit for storefront décor ideas, and if you’re already in the building, why not head up to the 12th floor? You won’t be disappointed.
