Gym Box has opened a new location in the Fashion District in the renovated Huntington Hotel. The Brentwood-based gym, is currently offering pre-grand opening specials for new members.
Gym Box is a fully equipped gym offering small classes and one-on-one personal training. A quick glance through the front window reveals the gym’s strong ties to boxing. In fact, all of Gym Box’s trainers are certified pro-fighters and boxing gloves are available to rent or purchase.
Non fighters need not be discouraged. Though Gym Box’s is built on the fundamentals of boxing, it offers Zumba, spinning and Pilates. Their current schedule includes an 11 a.m. Zumba class on Saturdays and 6 p.m. class on Wednesdays with more classes coming soon.
Personal boxing/fitness training classes are currently available with two-time Golden Globes Champion Hosea L. Simmons Sr. Simmons is a two-time Junior Olympic Champion, New York State Champion, PAL National Champion, and member of the 1980 Olympic Box-Offs. You can contact him directly at 818-470-3398.
The two-story gym will include lockers, showers and saunas, which are currently under construction. Membership is based on a 12-month contract and includes access to the gym’s Brentwood location.
