If ever there was a plant that was appropriate for Father's Day, it would be succulents. They're tough, and manly, and nearly indestructible, just like Dad. More importantly, they're incredibly affordable and easy to take care of. Succulents are any plant with fleshy, water storage organs. The most popular is probably the aloe, but this group includes a wide variety of cacti. They've adapted to survive extreme conditions all over the world, and as a result come in many shapes and colors. Perfect for DIY projects, succulents are a great gift idea for nature loving dads (and grandpas!). Family gardening session anyone?
