Hung on You

We'd like to introduce you to "Hung on You", a line of women's tailored pants made from recycled 70's vintage men's pants. That's right, this is a line of women's pants made from men's pants! Each pair is handmade one at a time, cut, and reshaped. Meaning no two pairs are ever the same. The pants are selectively sourced from thrift shops and flea markets by long time designer and fashion industry insider William Beranek. He specifically looks for 70's vintage for its 2-way-stretch fabric. It's what gives his pants the perfect fit. Pretty rad.

A graduate of Otis College of Art and Design, he stumbled upon fashion design while working in the aerospace industry and began pursuing fashion simply as a personal interest. Throughout the years, Beranek has worked on various projects, including his own line William B.

The idea for Hung on You came from Beranek's desire to simplify the design and production process. After years of designing and producing season to season, he found himself yearning to explore fashion beyond the "beaten path" and break away from the non-stop process associated with having one's own line. 

"I'm just making a cool little pant. It's peaceful," he says. We dig it.

Hung on You retails for $260. It is sold exclusively at Ron Herman and Post 26 in Santa Monica.
