Mother's Day: Wish your Mom Warmth & Longevity with this DIY Arrangement!

Sunflowers are a great choice for a Mother's Day arrangement. They are the happiest of flowers that represent loyalty, adoration, and longevity. We're going to show you how to put together a sunflower arrangment with a mix of other flowers we creatively chose! Feel free to use other flowers and other colors you think will be a great match for sunflowers.

At the Flower District, you will have to buy flowers in bundles, but the great thing is that you get to really stretch your dollar. We spent $30 for 6 bundles of flowers and were able to make 1 vase arrangement and 4 bouquets! This is a great way to give a lot of flowers to your loved ones without breaking the bank.

Here's what you'll need:
(from L to R)
Yellow wax (i.e. fillers)
White Snaps
Orange and red Gerbers
Sunflowers
White Irises

A vase! This arrangment will work in any shape and size, so be creative!

Tools:
Scissors
Ribbon

STEP 1:
Fill your vase with water and measure how tall you want your arrangement to stand. You will have to use the shortest stems as a reference.

Cut the stems to fit the desired height

STEP 2:
Using scissors, trim off all the leaves on every stem for a clean look

STEP 3:
Place each stem one-by-one into your vase and arrange it how you like.

STEP 4:
Put a bow on it!

& you're done!

And with the left over stems, we made 4 more bouquets out of it. Mother's Day isn't just limited to moms, but show your love to your grandma, aunts, and friend's moms too! Here we added purple carnations.
